CATCH 38 is a seafood focused restaurant in Rhinebeck, NY helmed by locals Chef Wesley Dier & Bryn Bahnatka – Dier.

Housed in a late 18th century townhouse CATCH 38 features dual level & al fresco dining. Complete with an antique bar & open kitchen this eatery has reimagined a casual fish shack into a unique upscale version of an American classic. Along with their own garden & greenhouse, Chef Dier cooks from the best of Hudson Valley’s bounty. Organic produce, grass fed meats, artisanal dairy products and of course fresh sustainable seafood delivered daily. Diners can enjoy a simple platter of oysters or a full dining experience while sipping a carefully crafted cocktail or perhaps a glass of wine from our award winning list.

Multi award winning Chef Wesley Dier is a Rhinebeck local, calling this home for 30 plus years. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Wes had the privilege of honing his craft under a number of celebrated chefs. Most notably Chef Melissa Kelly of Maine’s famed Primo restaurant. Having worked with her at a very early age at the Beekman 1766 Tavern, American Place Waterside & Old Chatham Sheepherding Inn respectively. Under his mentor’s tutorial the chef progressed rapidly and opened his first restaurant at age 27. CATCH 38 is the fifth venture for this Hudson Valley native.
